Samples for rabies testing are requested by Manitoba Health in cases of human exposure to a suspected rabid animal and by Agriculture in cases of animal exposure to a suspect rabid animal. Sample collection from the suspect rabid animal is coordinated by Agriculture.</li><li>The region referenced in the statistics is based on the address of the person/animal that was exposed to the potential rabid animal, not on the location of the animal sample. The regions include regional health authorities in Manitoba, First Nations and Inuit Health (federally administered) and Not Available when the region is not known, or not located in Manitoba.</li><li><u>Unfit</u> samples are those that were submitted to the CFIA laboratory, but were deemed unfit for testing.</li><li>Samples marked as <u>N/A</u> are samples that were not available for testing and were not submitted to the CFIA laboratory.</li><li>The map only shows positive results. <span style=\"background-color:rgb(255,255,255);color:rgb(20,20,20);font-size:14px;\"><span
