The ArcGIS Data Appliance enables you to locally host ESRI-hosted ArcGIS Online maps and tasks at your organization. The ArcGIS Data Appliance is used to help power the system that supports ArcGIS Online content from ESRI and can be deployed inside your organization for enhanced security or performance.
| The ArcGIS Data Appliance provides terabytes of pre-rendered U.S. nationwide and worldwide data that is delivered on a Network Attached Storage (NAS) device pre-loaded with one or more selected data collections. Each data collection includes a set of basemap layers in map cache format that are optimized for high performance and scalability. |
|
With the ArcGIS Data Appliance, you can publish map and globe services for use within your organization or publish services or Web applications over the Internet. These services can be combined with your own data in ArcGIS Desktop or Web mapping applications. The ArcGIS Data Appliance can be configured with additional storage capacity to host your own data in addition to the pre-loaded data it contains.
To learn more about the ArcGIS Data Appliance and the available data collections, see the ArcGIS Data Appliance product page on the ESRI Web site.
